After I graduated from college with a degree in Economics, I immediately decided to pursue a Masters Degree in the same field. I thought that with the financial crisis that the world is facing, having a postgraduate degree ensures that I‘d be able to land a good job.
When I was in graduate school, at first I thought it was just like normal college life. I did pretty well in college; I even won a best in thesis award, so I thought that I’d do well in this new class too.
I was in for a shock. Graduate school was more difficult than I thought. My skills in thesis writing were inadequate when compared to what I needed to do here. Dissertation writing was more complex than what I ever did while I was in college.
After 2 years in the program, I’ve now been able to adjust. I learned many things in writing my dissertation and I think that being skilled in thesis helped me in it.
